Nowadays Dennery is no more, butĀ its spirit lives on atĀ its sister Roseau distillery, where this Chairman's Reserve 1931 was created using both molasses rum and 10% agricole rhums. The rums in this Chairman's Reserve 1931 wereĀ matured for 7-12 years in ex-bourbon and a small proportion of port casksĀ before bottling at a higher strength of 46%Ā for extra oomph.Ā

Tasting Notes
Nose: Dry, oaky with butterscotch toffee fruit and vanilla from the oak. Definite tobacco and spice on the nose.
Palate: Dry, with boneyard banana fruit and a hint of grassy aromatics from the run agricole.
Finish: Long and complex. Quite Oaky but balaced.
