An intriguing Dalmore, the Port Wood Reserve started life in American oak barrels, before half of the casks were transferred into Graham's tawny port casks for 12-15 months. These port-finished casks were then reunited with the rest of the batch to create Dalmore Port Wood Reserve.

First bottled in 2020, Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is bottled at 46.5%, which is always a positive move and hopefully one that can win more malt fans back to this classic distillery.

Nose: Sweet red berries, Seville oranges, plummy fruits and sticky toffee pudding.

Palate: Nectarines, creamy caramel, roasted chestnuts and Java coffee.

Finish: Notes Rich plums, sultanas, Sanguinello blood oranges and macerated cherries.
