A fascinating 27-year-old Glenfarclas 1993 bottled for the distillery's magnificent Family Casks series from a fourth fill sherry butt in 2021 at its natural cask strength of 57.6%.

It's great that Glenfarclas are able to keep the Family Casks series so interesting after all these years, with a variety of different cask types to interest even the most jaded of whisky fans. Previous Family Cask fourth fill casks - such as the superb 1979 hogsheads - have been revelatory, and there's no reason to believe that this 1993 Glenfarclas 27-year-old Family Cask will be anything other than an absolutely brilliant whisky.
