The 2022 release of Kilchoman Madeira Cask Matured is here and it looks delicious. Assembled from a batch of 46 fresh Madeira hogsheads filledĀ inĀ 2016 and matured for over five years, Kilchoman Madeira Cask MaturedĀ was bottled towards the end of 2021 at 50% without chill filtration or colouring and will be packing considerably more flavour punch thanĀ pretty much any otherĀ 5-year-old Scotch whisky we can think of.

Nose: Caramel, orange zest and ripe plums with hints of mixed spices and rich smoke.
Palate: Bright citrus zest and peach notes with raisins, walnuts, dark chocolate and integrated smoke.
Finish: Juicy fortified wine, burnt sugar, dark fruits and lingering smoked Christmas cake.
