Old Linkwoods like this 1959 vintage tend to show all the wax, fruits, metal, polish and trace notes of oils and phenols that you would hope for and expect from such top quality fifties distillate.
These old Linkwoods by G&M were often overshadowed by the other big four distilleries they tended to focus on, (namely Macallan, Glen Grant, Mortlach and Strathisla). This is a shame because these old Linkwoods can be equally as stunning. This 1959 25 year old should be beautiful.
