Old Pulteney 12-year-old is the perfect introduction to the delights of the Pulteney distillery, an urban distillery in the Northern Highland fishing town of Wick.

While the rest of the Old Pulteney core range is double matured and bottled at 46%, the distillery's 12-year-old is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at a gentle 40%. A delicious, uncomplicated and very moreish Highland whisky.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep amber, red golden (with a slight pink hue) sparkling with a copper glow.

Nose: Medium to high intensity with a briny hint of sea air.

Palate: Dry, medium bodied and smooth, redolent of honey and cream, faintly salty with a slight spicy note.

Finish: Sweet long-lasting finish.
