This Provenance Coastal Orkney's Finest 2015 8-year-old came from a single refill sherry butt that yielded a generous 791 bottles at the Provenance standard bottling strength of 46%. Refill sherry is a great cask for these mystery Orkney malts, adding great flavours but still allowing plenty of distillery character at this sort of age. We're sure this will be a very good value delight.

Nose: Cocoa powder gives way to an earthy, damp oak style with just a hint of sea salt.

Palate: Cinnamon, brown sugar and juicy plums are balanced by a maritime, coastal quality.

Finish: The sherry heritage is apparent with more spice alongside salted caramel.
