This 16-year-old Royal Lochnagar is one of the most promising of 2021's Special Releases from Diageo and, somewhat remarkably, the third oldest and second most expensive of the whole crop.

As so few general release Royal Lochnagars appear, a new one is always worth celebrating - and this really does look like a good one, bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5% after 16 years ageing in refill American and European oak casks
