Yamazaki single malt whisky was firstĀ releasedĀ in Japan in 1984 and is a key component in Suntory's Hibiki blended whisky. Yamazaki 12-year-old is famously matured in ex-bourbon, sherry and Mizunara oak casks and is a masterpiece of blending, with a taut oak structure, gentle, honeyed, Speyside-esque aromas and flavours and beautiful floral notes and exotic wood spices from the Mizunara. A must-try Japanese single malt whisky.
