The legendary Macallan Private Eye was a special edition bottled in 1996 for the 35th anniversary of the UK's famous satirical magazine and remains instantly recognisable thanks to the screen-printed label design byĀ famous gonzo illustrator Ralph Steadman.
Macallan Private Eye was anĀ edition of 5000 bottles assembled from a combination of several long-aged sherry casks,Ā the oldest of which was distilled in 1961, the year Private Eye was founded. A luxurious and terrific dram that soon became one of the most collectable Macallan editions.
